      Mass Communications Specialist Interview

      Oct 31, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at US Navy in Jul 2009

      Interview

Talk to your local Navy recruiter. Pass the ASVAB. Talk to your recruiter about the Delayed Entry Program. Be willing to give up x amount of years to the government.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Should you lie about your background in order to enlist, and risk being charged with fraudulent enlistment? I.E. Have you ever used drugs or drank underage? Your recruiter will tell you to lie, but your recruit division commander at boot camp will threaten you to confess the truth. To this day, I still don't know which of them genuinely represented the Navy's best interests.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at US Navy

      Interview

I met with a recruiter. As most military personnel will tell you, they sell you a dream. It was not what I was told and expected. I wish they were more transparent. Then the medical examination before entry was quite personal and uncomfortable.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What was my medical history. I understand why to an extent but if I am evaluated by their doctor prior to entry anyway, why do I have to share prior information.

      Interview

Navy recruiter offered a lot of information. However, you need to come prepared with questions for them.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Navy (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2012

      Interview

Unqualified recruiters enlist people by following a guide book. Recruiters are not your friend, and receive "commission" for enlistments. People need to educate themselves before stepping foot into a recruiting office.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Are you Native American? (based on last name)
