Interview
I had 3 "interviews" although only the first one was a real interview. The others were more meet & greet/informal conversation. Information about the role was omitted and even though I accepted I ended up leaving a few months later.

Interview
Was asked to give a presentation on my research experience, followed up by technical questions related to my research area, PhD and the research area for the post in question. The interview took around 30 minutes with a panel of 4 individuals, no personal questions were asked (e.g. challenges, weaknesses, strengths) and the overall experience felt more like a viva/interrogation than an interview. I was asked a few specific questions relating to my research and presentation that bordered on unprofessional and did not leave me with a good impression of the group (e.g. beginning a question about the purpose of my research with “I don’t see the point XYZ” and challenging me on whether I had prepared my slide deck myself or had someone else do the work for me). I have had other interviews at the same institution for different groups however that were more positive, so I think this may have just been an isolated incident related to the group in question. As far as research associate interviews go, it was no more or less difficult than other interviews I’ve had for similar positions
