Around one week after the deadline of job application, I heard from the admin staff regarding interview invite. I was told who would be panelists. The interview was in a very friendly manner.
I applied online. I interviewed at University of Cambridge (Cambridge, East of England, England)
Interview
The interview consisted of a timed literature review written test (assessing a number of articles, and writing a summary of their contents), and then a panel of three researchers from the department interviewed me for around 45 minutes to assess my experience, ability, and future aspirations. It was a positive experience. I received the offer via telephone within a couple of days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions about my then-current degree and research.
Situational questions about circumstances that might occur during the research process.
Familiarity with particular methods.
Where do I see myself in three years.
presented my research background for 5 mins followed by questions. The interview in overall was quite intense in terms of timing and questions. Heard back from them that I didn't get the position a month later the interview. The questions were focused on the presentation i delivered - so more about the research project I have done, and general questions were not come up.
