I applied online. I interviewed at University of Cambridge
Interview
Smooth and pleasant, 1:1 interview with the head of the research group. Surprisingly, there was no grilling or on the spot testing as I have experienced at other university. Got an offer at the end of the interview and a confirmation letter 30 mins later.
Interview process lasts for several weeks, with a research task accompanied. They will ask you to read over a paper published by their students and come up with a novel extension and implementation all within 2 weeks. The focus is really heavy on biostatistics. The interview panel was composed of 7 postdocs/upper-level PhD + the professor
