The process took 1 day. I interviewed at VMware (Dubai) in Jul 2009
Interview
Fairly straightforward. Screening phone interview, asking about the marketing, sales experience, including how much of face time I had over the years. Interviewer focused a lot on teamwork and strong full throttle approach on revenue generating in the ME region. There were a couple of questions on how I would have approached new sales accounts, certain scenarios were tested by the interviewer. My overall perception of the firm was fairly positive

Question 1
Describe your strategic marketing experiences in a pre-sales tech role?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VMware in Feb 2009
Interview
After I cleared the in-house recruiter, I was sent via email a two-page questionnaire (probably ten questions in all) designed to probe both my technical and sales background - good questions, and it took me a full afternoon to address each one. Once completed this was sent, along with my resume, to the hiring manager, with whom I spoke via phone a few days later. I definitely got the impression he had only reviewed the questionnaire and not my resume. The hiring manager only had a handful of questions for me, so most of my allotted hour was used by me asking him questions - perhaps he had made up his mind already.
