I had 3 interviews. Initially it was with lab manager. My second interview was with the chemical cleaning manager. The 3rd and final was with the lab manager again and I believe I had a drug test and that was about it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
This was an entry level lab position. Veolia is a very good company if you can forgive the travelling and non chemist duties such as dragging pipe and using a wrench :)
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Veolia (Port Arthur, TX) in May 2020
Interview
The interview process is fairly simple with a panel of 3 to 5 employees in the facility that may or may not be in direct alignment with the department you are interviewing to work in. This interview could contain people you will only speak to or even see once if not very rarely. This company has been known to promise one thing and go a completely opposite direction when you're actually hired, so be wary of any "assurances" and "benefits." Also, they say they stress the importance of knowledge and experience with certain methods and instruments. This is not completely accurate. I have worked with people who are not at all familiar with the work we do who thrive after proper training and, inversely, with those who say they've worked in similar fields and have almost no idea what's going on half the time. Finally, and most importantly: DO NOT TRUST A WORD management says. If you're ever lucky enough to have a non-leadership employee in your panel, listen and look at them. They will tell you everything you need to know without saying a word.
