I applied online. I interviewed at Waitrose (Birmingham, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
Applied through their website, not too bad a process, although you do have to complete some online tests. Invited for an online interview a few days later. Only a temp position. Interview held over Google Meet with one interviewer. Very average, standard interview, though some of the usual questions were reworded to make them sound much more complex than they are... this threw me off a bit. Still got offered a position, though with very few hours, despite telling me I could do full-time, which was quite annoying.

Question 1
(Paraphrased/simplified versions of some of the questions) Tell me about yourself? How would I handle the shift hours? How would I handle difficult customers/colleagues? How have I recently tried to improve myself so that I can reach my future goals? How many hours could I work? Availability? Can I start straight away?
They asked some basic questions; it was a very friendly atmosphere; the recruitment process is very straightforward; I think it takes no more than two weeks. First a telephone interview, then an interview with the managers
it was a normal customer service interview with competency and situational questions and questions about yourself and all that kind of stuff. very basic part-time job interview that anyone could get through
Completed an online assessment that was harder than it seemed and then did an in person interview with one of the managers. She was very friendly and I felt at ease.
