I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Hythe, Kent, South East England, England) in Sep 2023
Interview
Group interview, where you had to rank order of importance of jobs. Simple and easy, there was no right answer. Then there was a 1:1 interview which was casual and they asked about experience and why you want to work there. They asked what hours would suit me.
Pretty easy, just asked about experience and strengths. Then did a group exercise where we had to prioritise tasks. Then we had to talk about why we chose certain things and what impact it had on sales
The recruitment process comprised of one online task, one round of in-person group tasks (based on real life scenarios) and then a one to one interview. The online task, in-person group tasks and one to one questions were straightforward.
Short initial interview with typical questions asked during any other behavioural interview. Might have been an initial online screening asking about how you are in the workplace and your personality.
Hiring manager was very friendly and patient.
