I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walmart (Durham, NC)
Interview
Three interviews, one with personell associate, one with store manager, on with district/market manger. Hired and 6 week training course which is now longer then when I was hired in 2003
I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Detroit, MI) in Apr 2009
Interview
I was an internal promotion. I interviewed along with 7 other people for 4 open positions. I was interviewed by a store manager. He asked the basic questions: what separates you from your peers?, Tell about a time you dealt with an underperforming associate?, etc. It only took about 3 days to hear a response from the market human resource manager offering me the position.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2012
Interview
I am an internal applicant. I applied using the wire and mywalmart.com. I have had 2 phone interviews for different stores. First was a week ago from a store manager. Second was the market HR manager for a different store. Received an offer on the phone for the second store, but declined because of location. I haven't heard from the first store except that there was a problem with my name in the req after the interview. Sent an email to HR, still waiting. But one thing I know about Walmart is they are never in a hurry to do anything...
