I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (New York, NY) in Jul 2015
Interview
Got called in after 2 days after applying. They basically called me on the phone and told me what shifts I would be doing and when I'm available to do an interview. I only had one interview where it involved scenario questions, since I had no related work experience, I use to school and life experiences. I signed paper work & was given a lab form to complete a drug test. It was a simple process.

Describe a time when you handled a small problem from getting bigger.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Elgin, TX) in Dec 2013
Interview
first, you are put into a room with a manager and they ask you the most difficult questions that have nothing to do with anything. Ex. What was something in your work/school life you thought you deserved more than what you got. Just questions you have to put a lot of thought into. It was just ridiculous they made up random questions.

Question 1
In your work/school life what is (insert ridiculous question)
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2011
Interview
Process is relatively easy. I filled out the application, and Called them the next day, ask for the personnel manager. I for instance said something in the lines of " Hey my name is *******, I recently filled out an application with you guys, and I was wondering if you guys were hiring and if you could take a second to review my application>" And so they did, and I got the interview. The day of the interview you just wear casual clothes. you'll sit by the photo center waiting for a lower manager to interview you. they'll all ask just about the same questions, and no they dont keep track of you answers, they rate your answers based on how they feel you are as a person and or it relates to the job. After the process is over with the first manager, you should be seated out at the photo center again until the next manager(s) interview you. They'll interview with the same questions but they are judging you as a character. If you got through the first part you'll most likely slide through three interviews which end you getting the job. NOTE: If after the first interview they tell you to go and they'll call you. 98% of the time they will never call you. If they scheduled you for an interview then the first two should be ready for you while you are there. If you are told they'll call back after the first interview then try another walmart, or go search for another job.
