I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Burlington, NJ) in Jul 2013
Interview
I interviewed with 4 different people and 3 out of the 4 asked the same questions. And I thought I had to come up with 3 different answers. The questions were about scenarios that happened to you.

Interview
Applied online. Got a call the next day which was basically a phone interview. The lady asked me human resource questions about my previous job/availabilities and also why I wanted to work there. She said she would contact me the following week if she felt I was a good candidate. Almost two weeks later I got a call from another lady asking me my availabilities again and then she asked to schedule an interview. The following day I went in for the interview. The lady that met me was head of the front (cash, customer service). We looked over my CV, she made me feel very comfortable. Then she asked 5 interview questions (Name a time I went above and beyond, what I would do if a customer came to me with a question from another department, name a big change in my life and how I adapted to the new change). Then I filled out a reference paper alone in the room. When she came back she said she was looking forward to seeing me again. They checked my references the following day (I was told) and I got contacted the following Monday for another interview.i went in for that one and it was basically employment review. Signed the papers.
So, phone interview, interview with department manager, reference check, final interview and then orientation.

Name a time I went above and beyond, what I would do if a customer came to me with a question from another department, name a big change in my life and how I adapted to the new change. I did my research before the interview and all of the ones she asked were listed online. They were all situational questions.

Interview
They do mass interviews (potentials are taken to the lunch room), interviewers are not even managers, they use the front end CSMs to do the interviews. Then they tell the potential he or she will be called for a second interview and the phone never rings.
