I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Asheville, NC) in Jan 2011
Interview
In my case, I was initially interviewed by one of the department managers. It was relatively short and straighforward; no real surprises. Just basic information.

Question 1
After the basic personal information was out of the way. I was asked the same question over and over, but slightly altered each time. This was kind of irritating, because I started feeling like a parrot. I pretty had to answer the question the same way several times. Didn't make any sense. Basically the question concerned what I would do when confornting an irate customer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Cambridge, ON) in Jun 2012
Interview
You have to apply online. After, they call you and conduct a brief phone interview. If they like you, youll get another call back to go in for a group interview which is very similar to speed networking. After that, you'll get another call back to meet with the store manager and be offered your position. That's where they tell you about wages. You then have to wait until their next orientation date and then youll be working.

Question 1
During the group interview, there was role playing where you grouped up with one or two other applicants and worked out certain situations. My group had to sell an iron to a father.
