I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Walmart (Sparta, TN) in Oct 2012
Interview
Standard interview with general questions that you need to give an example of past life/work experiences to achieve a goal or overcome a hurdle. About 4-6 similar questions, with two interview stages, once you pass the "preliminary" interview, you move to the 2nd interview directly after, with the same type of questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time that you were working on a project when an unexpected issue came up. What was the issue and what steps did you take to achieve your goal?
I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Walmart (White Lake, MI) in Mar 2016
Interview
I sent in an application approximately a week before they called for an interview. The interview was pretty simple. I was first interviewed by an assistant manager, after that I was taken to the store manager and met with him and talked for a bit. Lastly, I was then again taken to the assistant manager to fill out paperwork and such. I was immediately offered the job.

Question 1
When did you go above and beyond to help a customer?
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walmart (Sarasota, FL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Not much of a process, just making the job official by signing paperwork. You fill out the application, the hiring manager will call you in for an interview. They ask questions like are you able to work more hours than what you gave us, or do you have reliable transportation. Depending on which department you work in, you get a paper for a drug screening, and you also get a background check.
