I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart in Jul 2016
Interview
I applied June 8th, 2016 and didn't get a call until July 28th, so it surprised me when they actually called. I set up an interview July 29th and they only asked me 2 questions. After I answered them, I had to sign a few papers that went over the background check and drug check information, and they told me that if I passed the background check, I would have orientation next week. I didn't have a drug test even though I signed a paper saying I acknowledged that it was going to happen. I got a call later that day that I passed my background check. All in all, it is fairly simple to get the job once you get the call, so don't sweat the interview too much. I didn't even have any retail experience, so don't write yourself off quickly because of that. And patience is almost a must considering how long it took them to call me.
Explain a time where you went above and beyond to help a coworker, teach a coworker, work in a team, provide customer service, etc. (This was a broad question and could be taken in any way as long as you answer it well.)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart in Jul 2015
Interview
The interview was very quick, it took around 15 minutes. They hired me on the spot and I started the next day. You have to do computer training for your job position, it takes a 2-4 days to complete, and you get paid for that. Interview questions were generally all related mostly about customer interactions. The co-workers were all friendly and nice. Good work environment to gain basic experience.

Interview
Was called to come in. When I came in, the assistant manager asked me a few questions. Then went in to talk to a few more assistant managers. He called me into the office and told me I had gotten the job that day. Signed some papers, and came in to start working the next week.
