I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Oct 2015
Interview
My ex-boss referred me to the hiring manager, so that I interviewed with my hiring manager in-person once and received an offer. Since company was going through hiring freeze period, it took several months for them to give me an official offer.
3 rounds each 30 minutes, 2 behavioral one technical. The behavioral rounds felt easy to talk to, mostly about company culture and fit. The technical round was also on the easier side.
No clear communication about rounds. I was informed the first round would be general not technical but it turned out to be technical. I still gave my best but never heard back.
Interview process was very fast paced. Combination of behavioral and technical questions. Spoke a lot on how technology is a driving factor in the way many fortune 500 business run their operations. Because I am a MIS major I was able to use some of my coding skills such as Python and SQL during the interview as well. In conclusion, I would say try to study about 4 days out from the interview.
