I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Meridian, ID) in May 2023
Interview
Didn’t ask a single interview question. Would’ve liked to have been asked something other than “when can you start”. I can understand why some employees are miserable, if all they had to answer was their availability.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walmart (Greensboro, NC) in Feb 2021
Interview
I worked for Walmart for a number of years, as a manager and even in personnel. Managers used to be given a script of really only 1 question that they were supposed to ask in the interview. (I have been away from the company since 2022) The question was: Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer, what was the situation, what did you do and what was the outcome. Some managers will ask other supplemental questions, please take not of them as I know for a fact that some, not all, managers do discriminate based on appearance. Appearance meaning wild hair, tattoos, personal hygiene and even bad teeth for customer facing jobs. Not only that, but if you are overweight, I have seen them be reserved in hiring because they did not think the candidate, who interviewed well, could handle the physical load of the position. They did hire them when I reminded them that it was illegal to discriminate.
