I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2014
Interview
Quick and easy, like ordering coffee with a tour. They do not really pay attention to your answers for the question they are asking, which are mostly discretionary anyway. Walked around the store for 20 minutes, then stepped outside to view property and it was over the whole interview happened walking around the store.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Fresno, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
Be confident and friendly, don't appear nervous
It will be a 1 on 1 interview most of the time. Its 5-6 questions (some questions might be worded different but they are basically the same thing, they try to switch it up each interview)
- You might have up to 3 interviews
- I was fortunate enough to get the 1st interview with questions, 2nd interview was basically the other manager getting to know me and i asked a few questions about the positions
- Any variation of "I'll push you through" means you likely get the job offer. They'll contact you to go in for the "Job offer" typically this is for your drug test and background paperwork etc....
- If you've made it this far all you need to do is be drug free and have a clean background
- Orientation will start within a week or two, they'll call you and say when its happening
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask if you've gone above and beyond to do something for someone (mostly customer related but can be related to school, your personal life..etc)
some of the questions are much longer, but i tried to summarize it
