Interview
Applied online. Recieved a phone call asking to come in. The interview was not one on one but rather a group interview. You first start with the Walmart cheer, which is absolutely corny and from my time at Walmart and surrounding centre is never used. Next, the interview splits the group (approximately 20 candidates) into two. One group does speed date type of interview with the store department heads, asking just one question with under two minutes to respond before moving to the next chair. The second group involves roleplay between candidates where you try and sell a product to the best of you ability. If you pass all that, which the majority of my group did (16-18 out of the 20 came back for the final meeting), you sit in a room and read the ENTIRE Walmart handbook, which took my group half an hour. Afterwards you are assigned a position within the store and write down your availability.
