I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Little Rock, AR) in Oct 2016
Interview
Took 2 weeks. They called for an interview after I had applied online. Then I took the interview that next day. The questions were difficult, in my opinion. They asked questions that would be something I feel would be more for a manager. Thankfully though the lady interviewing me "felt bad", because even she was like, "why are these even questions", and so I was called back for a second interview and this time, I did my research.... (I didn't think I'd need to, because it was Walmart and I figured the questions would be pretty basic.. Wrong), anyways.. the next interview I felt sooo much better and felt I "aced it", "Tell me what you would do if you had to address an angry customer." etc.

Interview
Brought me in. Asked me one single question. "Can you give me a time where you showed great customer service?" Gave my answer and then proceeded to hire me on the spot for a job.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Oceanside, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Saw job posting online, I applied and was called by the hiring manager the next day. He confirmed my availability and what I expect out of the job (I was looking for this as a second job, and they were very accommodating), and scheduled me for an interview with himself, the manager of the department I would be working under, and the store manager. I studied for the interview (lots of questions and resources posted online, especially look up Walmart’s corporate goals and learn them so you can wow the managers), and went in dressed business casual (dress shirt, dress pants, blazer, no tie). They were very impressed by the research and effort I put in preparing for the interview, and commented on how I was dressed properly for a job interview. The interview was somewhat casual, taking place in the back office, with each manager interviewing me separately. After everything was done, they told me that they would like to hire me, and the hiring manager filled out an offer letter, and I signed it. The next step was the background check, which he says takes 1-10 days. They didn’t say anything about a drug test, but I’m assuming they’ll have me take one later.
