I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walmart
Interview
Phone Call for a Phone Interview, Then a call back for a Group Interview. Group interview was chill. Introductions to other job candidates. Then you were asked to pair off and ask each other questions. Then relay that information to the rest of group. Then a mock customer scenario where you tried to sell a product.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Biddeford, ME)
Interview
Filled out a very very long application online. A few days later I got a phone call for an interview. Went in and had an interview with a department manager. It went really well. Then I had another interview with another department manager. Was told that they had to contact my references and I would get a call back. Two days later I was called in for a job offer after I took a drug test. A few days later I was called back for the orientation.

Question 1
Nothing difficult. All the possible questions for an associate position are already on this page. Just answer with a lot of detail. They'll repeat the parts of the question that you miss. They are very long detailed questions and the questions are about the same when you interview to become a department manager.
I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart in Apr 2012
Interview
They called me in for an interview a month after I applied online. It went pretty quickly - approximately 20 minutes. I was interviewed in front of two managers. My advice for group interviews or interviews with more than two people is to make eye contact with everyone. Make sure you include everyone when you're answering questions not just the person that asked. Dress appropriately and prepare some questions to ask afterwards or as an icebreaker i.e. Was it busy today?
