I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Prince Albert, SK) in Jul 2009
Interview
I walked in asked to speak to a manger. I handed my resume to the nearest available MOD and awaited a response from my local Walmart.A few days passed and no calls I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get the job. This was my first retail job and I needed to make a good first impression. About a week later I was called in for a interview it lasted about a hour. The store manager and one of the support managers were present for the interview process. They ask me some general questions like why was i looking for a retail job and what was the reason for picking Walmart etc. After few more questions I signed some papers and was hired on the spot for a position in the foods depot. I was thrilled because this was my first big break and job opportunity.

Question 1
Why Walmart? Trying to come up with a answer to this was difficult I must have appeared a little stone faced during that portion of the interview.
I got asked a lot of useless interview questions by a guy wearing a shirt that was too big for him and I made up answers and got higher because Walmart is not looking for people with marketable skills or anything to be sales drone.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you went above and beyond someone's expectations.
Pretty standard situational questions. Was there a time when you had to deal with an angry customer, work in a group etc.
Usually interviewed by two managers separately that ask pretty much the same questions.
Quick and painless... nothing out of the ordinary.
