Walmart Software Developer interview questions

Interview went smoothly. Standard technical questions with emphasis on database internals, object oriented design, java, big data technologies, data structures, algorithms, coding and presentation, problem solving etc. First there was a phone interview, followed by onsite interview. There were 4 interviewers and all were friendly with clear expectation set on solving the problem in efficient way. Efficient and structured code is expected and working internals of java and database is also expected along with few big data technologies

I interviewed with Walmart for the Front End Software Engineer role. I was first contacted by the Walmart Recruiting team. I interviewed with both Walmart Labs and Walmart eCommerce teams. The entire interview process was about 2 weeks. It was pretty standard. There were phone screens, one for each team. The person who interviewed me from the Walmart Labs team was really nice and he seemed very skilled and knew what he was talking about. He asked some JavaScript questions mostly DOM related. The other interview (the one with Walmart eCommerce), however, went really bad. The interviewer asked me to implement a data structure in JavaScript and stopped paying attention to me. I could hear him watching some video in the background. He didn't respond for a few second after I asked him a question. Anyways, both the interviews went well and they brought me onsite. Two different onsite interviews. The questions were pretty basic algorithmic questions. They were not even tough. If you're good with basic Algorithms and Data Structures, you're good. Both the teams liked me and eCommerce extended an offer, which I declined. I wasn't happy with the interview experience and so I declined.
