I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Western Union (Wilna) in Nov 2022
Interview
Unfortunately, the whole hiring process was a big mess. I was interviewed by a recruiter on a phone, then I was invited to a meeting with a hiring team. The interview went well, it was really interesting to getting know more about the team and the tasks that they were doing. But then it became chaotic. I was contacted by another recruiter, she invited me to an interview with a group leader in two weeks. After that, they postponed my interview for a week and eventually canceled it a few hours before by automatic email saying that they completed their hiring process and thanking me for my time. Meanwhile, the first recruiter emailed me that everything is okay and she wishes me luck. So ridiculous. I wrote an answer to the recruiter asking for short feedback about this situation, but, of course, she just ghosted me. The very unexpected unprofessional attitude from such an impactful company. And a lot of my friends working at WU said it is a completely normal situation and just the tip of the iceberg. Wow, I hope they will make some revisions to their hr processes because the business will be losing time and reputation that way. This disordered process took almost three months.

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Western Union in Nov 2022
Interview
The hiring process can use major upgrade. My profile was short listed immediately after applying and HR approached for screening round. Post screening round, she kept on delaying the feedback. In the meantime, another HR from WU contacted me for another screening and he seemed happy to progress, even asked me for slots. Surprisingly he ghosted me soon after, not responding to my follow up mail and sent a rejection auto generated mail 2 weeks after he connected with me. Just this clarification took 2 months from the date that I applied. While it’s companies choice to interview who they want to, it’s not nice to ghost people and keep them waiting without telling them the next steps.
We appreciate you sharing this detailed feedback, and we’re sorry about your negative candidate experience with us. This is not how we communicate with our candidates. Please know I will follow up with my teams to reiterate our processes to ensure others do not experience the same lack of communication you have. If you would like to share more about the location or experience, it will help me dig into the breakdown further. If you are interested, please email careers@westernunion.com. - James Stirling, Head of Global Talent Acquisition
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Western Union in Oct 2022
Interview
First round with HM was positive and second with a senior peer was very strange with a lot of reasoning questions totally unrelated to the role. After lots of positive feedback role put on hold.
