Application package consists of CV + cover letter. One month after the deadline for application submission expired, I was notified I was shortlisted. Interview was scheduled within few days from notification. Interview lasted about an hour, only technical questions were covered by the 5 interviewers.

I was initially asked to introduce myself and my career. I was interviewed by economists in the World Bank (no HR staff). The interview was actually a very interesting exchange of ideas on topics related to economics. There were some final questions on management attitudes, etc. but they were pretty standard, no tricky questions or anything like that. Overall, I think a good format for an interview aimed at really seeing if your economic training and thinking is of value for the Bank.
