Then they asked me why I was interested in the job, some panel members made to feel like I was over qualified for the job and cynically implying this was for a more junior job. I did not ask them why they shortlisted me but what ask me that question if you shortlisted me. This decision was based on consensus considering two major donors were supporting PFM activities through a financing components namely EU , D DANIDA and African Development Bank. The interview took long because they interviewed me on technical aspects of PFM, PEFA , economic governance etc and I had more than 15 years experience in PFM ( where 5 was the prescribed) it was for them like hiring a professor in Maths and Stats to be a secondary maths teacher .
