I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at WorldQuant in Nov 2020
Interview
brain teasers + final project introductions
the usual quant math questions, not really that hard but the last project interview can require some prep
the general process can be stretched out and time consuming though
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at WorldQuant (Moskau, ) in Jun 2021
Interview
Two online tests. First one on Python at HackerRank with 3 quite simple tasks for 2 hours. Another one on maths/probability/statistics at internal platform. Test consists of two parts, a break between them is possible. Each task has limited time two solve, tasks in second part seemed way harder.
Followed with invitation to a set of 3 interviews with researchers. Pleasant conversations, with tasks on algorithms and statistics.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Minimal number of operations to make all elements in array equal using only +1 or -1 on any number.
There was three rounds (1st 2 rounds had 2 interviews and last round had 1). About 60 mins per interview where they ask behavioral and mostly technical questions. It was very tiring.
