I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Yandex (Moskau, ) in Nov 2018
Interview
Overall friendly and time-flexible, very haphazard with no clear journey and new stages emerging again and again. The numbers in the salary and benefits sections were an unpleasant surprise, with the minimal expected salary from my side being transformed into "total pre-tax income including the average payouts with options scheme, likely to realise in 2 years from now".

Question 1
Experience in previous jobs, reasons for leaving, technical skills, required minimum salary (got an offer lower than that), practical tests
Before an interview they gave a task and a few questions on js via email, after that two interviews followed.
First interview was on javascript knowledge and some simple algorithmic knowledge (on-site)
Second one was algorithms only (online)
I applied online. I interviewed at Yandex (Moskau, ) in Sep 2018
Interview
I applied through career website and got a call from recruiter. There were 3 interviews with: recruiter (by phone), manager (in office) and future mentor (in office). The interview with a manager was not hard, but I was asked to prepare a presentation for Yandex to sell them one of my university projects. The process was very fast, from a call to an offer it took about a week.
