I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zara (Burnaby, BC) in Feb 2013
Interview
Zara has an online application form but my suggestion is to come into the store, fill out a paper application, and ask to speak with the manager (of the department you wish to work for). I went to the women's department so was assigned there instead of men's when I got hired despite being a male employee.
After 3-4 weeks, I received a call from a manager and was asked to come in for a 1:1 interview. They will ask you several questions about customer service and about your knowledge of Zara and current fashion trends.
They have a minimum of 3 professional references required and THEY WILL call all of them before making a decision to hire you.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Zara (London, England) in Sep 2015
Interview
Very easy interview, few easy questions, first all all the applicants watched a short movie about Zara and then we were asked about the facts we knew. Afterwards, every candidate had an individual interview for 5 minutes.
