Stage 2, 3 and 4 all had Competency-based questions on skills they were looking for (i.e. from job spec). Also included technical accounting questions which would be required for the job. Although structured interviews, it was comfortable and had the feel of "casual/informal conversation". You felt at ease. You also had the opportunity to show your personality and discuss your interests too.
Was I looking for a long term position.

What Financial statement BS, IS, or CF would you show to an individual to best explain TI? (This was the closest thing to a technical question I was asked)
They have required to do and complete a "test project" to provide an analysis and computation on their inventory adjustment. They should have hired an auditing firm for it and they don't want to spend so they get accountants to do this for free for them.
What kind of background experience do I have. Why do I want to work there.
Why i was looking to leave my current employer.
On the phone interview they asked me to tell them a little about myself. Asked me what I am currently doing for employment and/or school. Asked my salary expectations. I am scheduled for a one on one interview in person a week later.
