No tough questions were asked. Which I liked. I thought they were respectful enough to trust based on your portfolio. The interview was just a personality test to make sure you aren't a jerk.
How do you see yourself contributing in the company in the next year?
What software do you use?
Tell me about your personal management style regarding motivating juniors writers while keeping the work on schedule? When do you step in? Or do you?
What work are you most proud that you've produced?
Can you tell me about the strategy behind your favorite project?
Asked about working and communication styles. Discussed approach to feedback, critique, etc
Questions around portfolio with required multiple rounds of presentations to hiring manager & panel. Separate interviews around leadership and team development, working cross-functionally, multiple questions around working with difficult personalities (red flag), driving impact in your work, how you've driven strategy, and company values. Even after the recruiter would prep you on the questions for each round, interviewers would deviate and riff. Intense need for hyper-specific examples with results, often pushing for more detail when none was necessary.
