have been working at International Institute of St. Louis as an intern (Less than a year) Pros As an intern I was given actual responsibility and felt like I was making a meaningful impact in people's lives. Great Non-profit experience. I have leveraged skills and knowledge learned later in my career. Everyone was very accessible and friendly and there was a jovial culture. Cons Like most nonprofits the internships are unpaid. There are, or at a least were, a few paid internship opportunities dependent on grant funding or other charitable donations. Advice to Management Keep
Mainly asked me about my history and qualifications. Asked me if I had experience with travel.
The interview was pretty relaxed, after going over my resume I was asked about the kinds of experience I have from previous employment.
