Incredibly combative and aggressive. David Pullman called me and asked me my background. As I'm telling him, he cuts me off and asks what I'm making now so I told him my salary. He scoffed and said they wouldn't pay it and if I would be open to a temporary contract instead. I asked what range they would be comfortable with. This is when the yelling began. I apologized even though I wasn't sure what escalated the situation to yelling - it's pretty normal to inquire what pay ranges would be when the interviewer has just informed you they won't meet your current pay - and he continued on his tired. Clearly not a match, I told David that I'm not interested in working with him, thanked him for his time, and wished him the best. He challenged me in an incredibly aggressive tone: "oh but if we pay you your rate then you'll work here?" To which I replied "No I'm going to hang up, I'm actually quite uncomfortable I don't think this is a fit." and he screamed "OH GOOD". I've never experienced this level of hostility in a job interview before, it was shocking and unsettling. I would NEVER work here no matter how much they paid.
