Would you say you're more of a persuasive person that others?
The President of the school literally sat there and just asked me general interview questiosn that he was reading off of a script. It is extremely easy to just tell him what he wants to hear. I am pretty sure they would hire a horse if it could talk.
The interviewer stated that "Inside Track is a very competitive business" and implied that passion for one's work and the students was not enough to succeed in this line of work, but that the real clients were the colleges and private firms. I was thrown off guard because I thought the position was all about coaching, and providing for the student's interests first, not the companies looking for numbers and "hard analytical proof" of success.
Tell me how you handle pressure? How would you motivate your advisers?
What would you do if someone on your team was not performing?
I was asked what sort of leadership philosophy I followed or used. It was a question that wasn't readily asked by most interviewers, so I was thrown off just a tad.
