I expect the most difficult part for most people would be the video-taped demo lesson. You are told to teach some random topic from a textbook. Basically very easy for anyone who has taught in Japan.

I think I was asked how I would go about communicating with an old Japanese lady about the UK when perhaps she didn't have a positive view of foreigners. I answered that I rather than 'sell' the UK, I would try and communicate with her on a more individual level, removed from nationality. The interviewers seemed to like this and I remember feeling the interview after that point had a much warmer atmosphere.
