The primary concern was whether or not I had experience working with historical records. This should have been a huge red flag. They had no idea what an archivist was or did. They were interested to know whether I knew about records management. I was so interested in the position and saw the potential, that I ignored some basic red flags. The position was required an MLIS, however, they really didn't need an archivist or someone with a masters degree. They needed a records clerk. The position was incorrectly listed as an archival position.
