When I initially read the job description for this role, I genuinely felt like it fit perfectly like a puzzle piece. I have 9 years of professional experience, having worked at some well-known companies and for the past 3 and a half years I worked in the education space. Prodigy felt like it just hit home for me as the role seemed like familiar waters. I was really excited to apply. I was, GENUINELY surprised to have been dismissed after having gone through almost 4 hours worth of interviews. You know when you feel like everything has been so incredibly positive and you feel so good about the interview, like everything just went really smoothly? That was my initial experience. After I finished all of the interviews, including the cultural fit - they told me that they'd be getting back to me next week and I felt so good over the weekend. Tuesday I receive an e-mail saying they've moved forward with other applicants. Completely crushed. What went wrong? I wrote to the recruiter to ask for any clarification and feedback, what could I have done better - was there anything I did wrong? What happened? I was just genuinely so surprised, as everything had been so incredibly positive - I felt so mislead. This is the e-mail I received from the recruiter: "The team really liked your work and experience, unfortunately they felt that in a quite few instances you were getting lost in your chain of thoughts and were not being precise to the questions that were being asked and this was felt both at the team lead and final rounds of the interview. Being remote at this point it is imperative to have a clear communication and thought process to be able to work effectively with the business." Honestly, I could have not had a more different experience. This felt the weirdest. What I read did seriously not make any sense at all, and I will explain exactly why. I feel I do have the right to defend myself regarding what was mentioned. I will continue my review below.
