The one that stood out was if I could speak Japanese and if I would use Japanese in class. Often this question is asked because schools have English-only policies, but in this case, it was explained that using Japanese (by foreign instructors, at least) was encouraged to facilitate learning. As my Japanese proficiency is low intermediate, I was asked if I would work on improving it.
