Really it was the test that was the most difficult part of the interview. However this was 4 1/2 yeas ago. The management there didn't seem to know what was going on at the time they just needed people in the door. The expectations sometimes can be very hard to meet because sometimes they were unreasonable.

Not a single question about underwriting, all behavioral questions. How about a mix of both so you can be sure the candidate actually knows how to underwrite? I had been working with this company for years and knew all their forms and guidelines but they never asked anything that would give them this information. I would have been ready to work with very little training, seems like an important detail to miss.
What natural characteristics do you poses that would cause you to excel in this company and why did it not work at your last sales job?
There was really nothing unexpected, just your typical interview.

Are you trying to get your foot in the Underwriting field? My resume clearly stated I had already been one at a different company.
