I'm not a huge fan of being asked what my salary expectations are, but I gave them a 10k range to work with. Make sure you know what you want, do the research and be prepared to answer this question. They said that they pay at market value and have a range of salaries within a level, similar to government.
I wasn't expecting to be asked about the history of the company. I guess it's a way to weed out people who are extremely interested in the job.
