By the time I left the company I was doing the interviewing so I would typically ask: 1) Tell me about yourself, 2) What do you know about the company, and 3) Why do you want to work for us?
He asked for specific examples about my experiences with other jobs. He wanted to know details about my leadership roles. And then he wanted me to talk about my pros and cons. For the cons, it seemed like a therapy session. "Why did you react that way" "How did you handle it" They were tough questions!
They were all of equal substance pretty informal.
Hard to understand the questions
Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an emergency at work.
These questions were the normal, "tell me about a time you had this happen, how did you handle it?" Or "If there was a line out of the door, your regional manager called, and you had a major customer issue, what/how would you prioritize them?"
