We are running a kubernetes cluster in production. All our deployed services has memory and cpu limits configured. Our postgres server has the following memory configurations. resources: requests: memory: "1Gi" cpu: "250m" limits: memory: "8Gi" Even though the pod is not using more than 7Gi memory it is getting OOM killed from time to time. What can be the problem, and how can it be solved? What recommendations you have for setting cpu and memory resource allocations.
