I don't remember specifics but some of the questions are incredibly obscure.

How do you handle an irate customer?
Most unexpected question was when they ask you to name a time in your career history when you have created a new idea or took charge and made a positive change on a former company and the way the business ran. The question itself is not difficult, but I feel for the Concierge position and the people applying for that title may have too limited of a background in taking charge to sound confident in their answer. (I may be wrong but I feel that question is better suited for supervisor or assistant manager prospects)
I always find the most difficult questions are when they ask you to say specific good things and bad things about yourself because I find it hard to talk to strangers about myself. All of the questions asked were very thorough and geared toward the position, which I found refreshing, as it helped me gage then and there whether the position was a good fit for me while they gaged whether I was a good fit for it.
How would you handle X situation?
They ask questions like how would you respond to customers annoyed at your calling them, de-escalation, mock call (helping potential customer get set up at doctors office), and other basic customer service questions.
Do you have experience in the beauty/cosmetics industry? If not, why would you be a good fit for this role? How would you deal with an unhappy guest? What is it that makes you want to go into cosmetics?
