I declined the "Prospective offer" (if that's even what you would call it) because they wanted me to submit my personal information to do a credit check on me BEFORE they even verbally or formally discussed offer details. When I replied that I would like offer details before I share this information to see if the offer would even make sense for me to pursue?. Their reply back to me was that "They usually don't do that until the credit check is done and that she would pass my email on to the person who does the offers" (Exact verbiage ) Even though I knew I had nothing to worry about on any of the screening pieces, this was a giant red flag to me and definitely didn't sit well. By the way, I never did hear back from anyone on this "Offer" I am an experienced recruiter/Hr professional and never initiated this type of onboarding before a verbal offer was extended, accepted or even offered. Not sure if this process and practice they follow is even legal and compliant.
