In the first round of interviews, we discussed the job description, my reasons for leaving my current position, and what I was looking for. We also talked about my salary expectations and had a general vibe check. The second interview was more detailed, focusing on stakeholder management, the design process, and team collaboration. In the third interview, I presented an assignment to the rest of the team and the hiring manager. They asked detailed questions about my design choices, and I also had a small chat with the hiring manager. Overall, I had a positive experience in all the interviews and left feeling inspired with lots of new ideas.
During the first interview with HR, I was asked about my previous work experience, why I was leaving my previous company, what I was looking for in a new role and my salary expectations. It was a standard interview. The second interview was more detailed and was conducted with some members of the team. I was asked about my way of working, design thinking and collaborations. The assignment given to me was difficult but aligned with the job expectations. I got the chance to present my work to the team and hiring manager, and they asked me very specific questions about the design choices I had made. I also had a little chat with the hiring manager and it was more about stakeholders management and the next step of the brand. I left the last meeting very inspired and full of ideas!
Experience with tools related to the role
Most questions were about my past experience, and I was introduced about the team and their priorities. We also discussed other similar roles opened and expectations from them.
I can't recall the specific questions but I don't remember being asked anything particularly difficult or unexpected. The conversation flow felt quite natural.
