I was well prepared for ".Net questions" but was taken back after they started asking about how and what technology to use for designing a project" What option will you choose and what parameters will you take into consideration. Some question on multiple servers and load balancing so on and so forth.. I was not really prepared for this to come (Technically I knew I can impress them with ".NET knowledge " But seems need another day ... So in one line it was a Big picture which they wanted and not minute details. Felt could have / had done some more preparations.

While we unfortunately can't read minds, we'll give you the next best thing: a list of the 31 most commonly asked interview questions and answers. While we don't recommend having a canned response for every interview question (in fact, please don't), we do recommend spending some time getting comfortable with what you might be asked, what hiring managers are really looking for in your responses, and what it takes to show that you're the right man or woman for the job. Consider this your interview study guide.

At one point the director was trying to get a specific answer out of me, but I was unable to come up with the exact solution she was thinking of. Basically she wanted to know how to get a user to make a predetermined choice. I went for fun and light answers, seeking user empathy as an answer. But she wanted a specific answer and it wasn't as touchy/feely as my approach. Hate when that happens, but I'm sure they know there's more than one way to do things.
