I honestly can't remember. The questions were pretty simple. I had never worked customer service let alone a hardware store so I didn't have experience in those departments.

I have gone through 4 interviews and each has been a different set of questions. Just google behavioral based questions for retail sales and this will prepare you most sufficiently.
All the question are situations. If you can think on your feet, it's easy!
If you have dealt with people in any business you should be able to handle the questions. If you get hung up on questions about how to react to predictable sales-oriented positions then you probably don't have the experience or maturity for the position. Don't take it to heart... you might not be a good fit for the profiled skills required.

About handling customer issues, etc. Previous experience in dealing with difficult situations or customers.
