Tell us 3 things you would like to find out from the client during this meeting, How would u ensure you get this information? 2 - Assessment day (this is a new thing for the Analytics and Sales, they introduced this year) 1 - A person from the Analytics will show on a big screen (only once) how you find information using the Bloomberg terminal e.g. how to I find the stock for Vodaphone? (VOD LN) Who is the richest man on earth (you have to find this information using the terminal) Can I compare this person to another person? Someone will chat to you pretending they are a customer and they ask you these above questions and you need to how customer service, problem solving and communication skills. It goes for about 30 min - its hard if you never used the terminal before - I recommend going to the University and have a go first. After shadowing this person from the analytics team, you will then have a group debate. The total number of people who got selected for the assessment day was 10 so we were divided in 2 groups. The question we got was: Will the price of oil go up or down in the next 5 to 10 years? one side has to debate yes and the other one is no. They will tell who is going for what in the last 10 min. They will give you articles to read so you and the group can get prepare for the debate. Make sure you have strong points and speak clearly. It was a hard debate and a lot of people didn't have any knowledge of Economics so they found this very hard. 3 - Team Leader interview The questions were not:why Bloomberg, why this role etc. They were more related to financial knowledge and your motivation to work in analytics. A lot of knowledge in the Markets and Economics is a plus. If you don't have this knowledge I wouldn't go for the interview. Example: how a recent news would affect the business, what does it mean for the stock market etc. How the US tariffs can affect business and globally. If I have a company in Italy that needs sugar from the US, how can I make sure I can buy their sugar with the same price as today in a month time (answer: hedge currency) and so one. All related to the finance markets. Very hard questions, basically they are looking for the best of the best. At the end you have to sale a Holiday package to the Team leader interviewing you. They want to see if you bring the skills to the table in terms of selling a product such as the Terminal. 4 - I didnt get selected
