My past experience is social media and content focussed and that is what my CV mentioned. For Round 1, HR reached out to me over LinkedIn and asked me to apply for the above position well knowing my experience. After Round 2 interview, I was rejected because the team was looking for someone with experience much broader than 'just social media and content creation.' If this was the exact expectation of the team , the HR shouldn't have contacted me over LinkedIn.
