What are some pieces you're written? How would you describe your voice and beat? Show us some samples. What are some topics you would write for us that are unique? How do you work with a team? How many pieces in general do you currently produce each week?
I can't remember the specifics of what they asked me – it was all very vague because the department was new. The people interviewing me were really personable and kind, and clearly it would have been an interesting opportunity if it had gone forward. Unfortunately, I got the impression that they were instructed to hold interviews preemptively, ahead of actually forming the new department or guaranteeing its viability. I was told a few weeks after my interview that the position no longer existed / the opportunity was no longer available. It was a decent learning experience, but overall left me with a distaste for exploring more work in that sector.
Incredibly generic questions about writing process that seemed overly simplistic and out of the recruiter's element, plus the usual "why do you want to work here?" questions.
How do you prioritise competing issues

Very conversational -- tell us about editorial experience, health/medical industry experience
There were none. She didn't even do a proper interview. Just went over my resume but didn't ask me any questions.
