The second most surprising question was everything they didn't ask. It really didn't seem like anybody had a good sense for how to dig into a candidate and look for the kind of things they wanted.
Explain a time you went above and beyond for a customer. What was the outcome?
The test consisted of 24 electricity prices (one per hour) in the day-ahead market. The idea was to find arbitrage opportunities between the hourly price differences, considering that there were costs to incur and that you, as an electricity producer, had a production capacity limit.

The questions were pretty straightforward; there were no trick questions that I recall.
